Delete your account

You can do this yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute.

From inside the app

  1. Open VerseMine and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile in the bottom tab bar.
  3. Tap Settings (the gear icon, top right).
  4. Scroll to the very bottom and tap Delete Account. It sits below the legal and support links, not in the Account section.
  5. Type DELETE to confirm.

Deletion runs immediately. There is no waiting period and no separate confirmation email to wait for.

If you can't sign in

Email privacy@versemine.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. That is the address the Privacy Policy names for deletion requests, so use it rather than general support. We reply within two business days. We will ask you to confirm from that address before we delete anything, because an email asking us to delete someone's account is not by itself proof that it is their account.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile, display name, username and avatar
  • Your reflections, journal entries and comments
  • Your submitted photos and every other file stored under your account
  • Your streaks, accountability challenges and partner connections
  • Your friend connections, blocks and notifications
  • What we hold on our servers about your AI assistant conversations — the record that a group session happened and who was in it, any group-session audio, and the content-free safety records. We do not hold the text of your conversations, so there is nothing of that kind for us to delete.
  • Your subscriber record with our payments provider

What does not get deleted, and why

Content other people created stays with them. If a friend commented on one of your reflections, their comment is theirs; where it would otherwise be orphaned it is removed along with the reflection.

Deleting your VerseMine account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Those are managed by the store, not by us — cancel in your device's subscription settings. If you delete your account with an active subscription, you will keep being charged until you cancel it there.

Your conversations on your device. The text of your AI assistant conversations is stored on your phone, not on our servers, so deleting your account does not remove it. Delete your conversations in the app before you delete the account, or remove the app and its data afterwards. On iPhone, newer versions of the app ask iOS to leave the conversation store out of iCloud Backup; that is a request to the system, not a guarantee, and earlier versions did not make it. A device backup — iCloud or Google — may still hold a copy under Apple's or Google's terms rather than ours.

We may keep a minimal record that a deletion happened, and aggregate counts that contain nothing identifying, where we are required to.

Deleting only your AI conversations

You do not have to delete your whole account to clear those. In the app, open the AI tab, then the history icon, and delete a single conversation or all of them. That removes them from your device, which is where they are stored. Everything else in your account is untouched.
